Dante Jackson, former XU standout, was a grad assistant for the Bobcats last year, but it looks like he will be heading back to Xavier for the upcoming season.

Can't say I'm surprised by this. They had an opening, Xavier is kind of in flux right now with a lot of turnover on the roster, and he's a Xavier guy through and through. He'll be great for the bench to act as a mentor to the young guys they have there now. I think I heard somewhere he was the winningest player ever at Xavier...could be wrong though.

Dante was a big presence during the basketball camp my boys went to earlier this summer.  I really liked him.  He reminded me a lot of Tunji.  Very funny dude.  I can't blame a guy for wanting to back home.

a big loss....make that a BIG LOSS. I was so impressed with his attention to the minutiae of things. TUrning hips to accelerate, where your eyes should be, what area should you be covering on the weak side, when do you drop and how is the best way to recover.....a thousand things that were taken care of at the individual instructional area that had been missing the years I have been around Ohio basketball.....and that was just the in practice on the court stuff you could see. It does not account for all the things he did out of sight. It was good to have him here, he elevated the level during his tenure. Good luck Dante, sorry to see you go, glad you are going home.
