Very interesting since Crean has been raked over the coals by the fanbase for over recruiting and asking the guys who have been 4 year program guys through the probation (ethridge et al)  to give up their schollies.

This is an elegant way to backpedal IMHO.

IU fans had really been singing his praises as an unsung talent in their class.  I've heard them hype him up a lot.
