JSF--I was busy doing yardwork so I missed the 'zil-Russia championship game, though I later saw a recap that told that Russia had won.  Then, today a guy at work said they showed the whole match out here.  He told me something that I did not know and wish I'd seen:  Brazil (not Lavon) winning the first two games and having two match point chances to win it 3-0 before Russia stormed back to win the match.  Musta been crazy--'zil must have been totally shocked and Russia must have been going nuts.

Maybe cut out all the breaks (timeouts, etc) when they telecast the indoor volleyball games at the lympics.  So, maybe matches are not as compact and exciting as they were over the past week.  But, honestly, if the games are as continuous as they showed 'em on TV, it may be that vball is a better sport than basketball

No, no, no, I meant the women's match. You know, the one the United States of America was in. They started in the middle of the first set. After that, Bob Costas goes, oh, Brazil won the next two sets, and we'll pick it up with them seven points from the win.

I was furious. Absolutely unacceptable.
