BL and I have had more than our share of disagreements on this board, but on this issue I'm in 110 percent agreement with him. Like BL, the first time I met Kirby I thought he was a clown. He seemed extremely insincere and untrustworthy. He acted, somewhat ironically, like a vacuum cleaner salesman. I had my issues with Tom Boeh, but I never thought he was a slime-ball. When I publicly, in a letter-to-the-editor in the Dispatch, called for the firing of Knorr after the Beefs slaughter, TB and I had a discussion of the matter. He showed respect for my position, even though he disagreed with it and still thought Knorr could turn things around. The point is that Boeh was upfront and honest. Well, Alan would say he couldn't count, but that's another story. (ha-ha) Kirby, on the other hand, seemed like the kind of person that would tell you what you wanted to hear and then tell the next guy the opposite if that's what he wanted to hear.
