Check out the roster.  Some are bigger, some smaller.

I'm telling you, it is Voodoo magic.

I noticed Kenny Belton is still on board.  Any chance he contributes a lot?

Here are the changes. And not everyone got taller, some people shrank apparently.

Baltic: 6'8 --> 6'9

Cooper: 5'11 --> 6'0

Goff: 6'4 --> 6'2

Hall: 6'6 --> 6'5

Johnson: 6'4 --> 6'5

Keely: 6'8 --> 6'9

McKinley: 5'9 --> 5'10

Offutt: 6'3 --> 6'4

Smith: 6'7 --> 6'6

Taylor: 5'9 --> 5'10

Sports heights are weird. I noticed these changes, too. For about a day, they had Kadeem Green listed at 6'6'' before changing it back to 6'8''. Based only on walking past these guys on the street. Here's what I think their accurate heights are:

Baltic: 6'8 --> 6'9. Possibly accurate. He definitely has a few inches on Smith.

Cooper: 5'11 --> 6'0. 5'11'' 1/2, so I can see the rounding up.

Goff: 6'4 --> 6'2. Accurate. He is nowhere near 6'4''

Hall: 6'6 --> 6'5. I think 6'6'' is accurate

Johnson: 6'4 --> 6'5. I think 6'4'' is accurate.

Keely: 6'8 --> 6'9. 6'8'' is probably more accurate.

McKinley: 5'9 --> 5'10. Don't know.

Offutt: 6'3 --> 6'4. I think he's closer to 6'2'' than 6'4''

Smith: 6'7 --> 6'6. Possibly accurate. Hard to tell on the court because he's so long. But as said earlier, he's definitely a few inches shorter than Ivo.

Taylor: 5'9 --> 5'10. Closer to 5'8'' than 5'10''.

Also, I would put Nick at 6'1'' instead of 6'3''.

In the old days the SID, in this case Frank Morgan, would ask you what you wanted to put down. As long as it was within reason, they would would go with your number. I was always skinny, so I bumped my weight about 10-15lbs. Is DJ's case, he's probably thinking the pro guys like to see 6' versus 5'11. I'm not sure about the other guys, but maybe in Ivo's case, a post player looks better at 6'9 than 6'8.

Charles Barkley always was listed at 6'6, but was really about 6'31/2. It goes on all the time.

Our high school coach Arch Justus would drop guys about 3 inches....especially big men.  We had 2 post players that I know were 6'4"-6'5" and he had them on the program as 6'1".  I actually asked him about that and he said it was an advantage having the other team thinking that they could walk all over the big menz.

I think DJ is legit.  Last time I was measured I was 5-10, but always say I'm 5-11, and 6-0 on a good day.  DJ definitely has an inch (at least) on me.  I find Stevie at 5-10 harder to believe...

FWIW, the 1 time I saw Kadeem Green last year he seemed bigger (vertically and horizontally) than Keely, but it wasn't a good enough look so I could believe I was wrong.

This has to do a lot with personal growth.
You can learn height.

There needs to be an investigation regarding young Mr. McKinley's unwillingness to be measured!

I talked to Kenny last weekend and he didn't sound encouraged.  He had another hip surgery about four months ago, and with rehabbing that and him being Groce's project, not Christian's, I think the odds are slim to none.

As an aside, Kenny was a very impressive young man.  I really enjoyed talking with him.

At least he had an idea to go with it. We just added inches to everyone.  Not sure who we were intimidating because I doubt any opposing coaches read our programs before they got to the gym.  Anyway, I've never believed a listed height or weight since then.

I didn't realize he had hip problems.  I only recall spinal cord issues.  Cannot believe he has two issues that serious and is still going at it.  Very commendable.

Guess the issues are related.  I heard spinal cord and assumed neck, but I guess it does go down your back near your hips too.  Crazy stuff.  Hope he at least is able to reduce pain and meet his goals in rehab.

I think coach Christian must have had them spending some time in the height room during the off season
