This guy has Michigan at #44 where most of the other ones I've seen have them top 10.

All of the preseason polls are a little wacky. Even the AP voters fluctuate wildly. UNC is ranked anywhere from #2 to unranked by AP voters. Michigan and Michigan State both go from #3 to unranked. Syracuse is everywhere #4 to unranked. Arizona is anywhere from #5 to unranked.

42 sure seems low to me - I think around 30 would be about right. Memphis win or close sure will help. 10 top 100 games (3 vs 'Kron) - not too bad - gotta win at least 8 of those . I gotta think Toledo and EMU in particular will move up quite a bit through the year, Beefs and BGSUcks could as well. Will we have a "breakout" year in the MAC for BBall like we're having w/FBall?

4 of our top 5 ranked opponents will be played on the road. Memphis, Oklahoma, Robert Morris and UMass will be some very, very tough battles. Got to bring the A game to have a chance.

If we grab 2/4 of those games, I'd be very pleased.

Does anyone know why the schedule lists us playing Miami twice in March on the 8th and 9th? Can't they decide on the date of the last game for some reason?

How in the hell can you rank 345 teams? These lists are absurd. Just give us a Top 50 and that's it.

I am quite interested to see how Northern Kentucky fairs this season though.

I believe its Friday if the game is picked up for TV, otherwise it is Saturday.

Yes, I asked at the game yesterday and that's what I heard too. It's a strange scenario to be in - hope it does become a TV-worthy matchup!!

And perhaps the most insignificant rankings of all...Jay Bilas' Top 68

http://insider.espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/8589315/jay-bilas-ranks-nation-top-68-teams-college-basketball

This should actually be titled "The Big 6 conferences and a few other guys (because they make me)"

He has us at #53 two spots behind South Florida. who lost a bunch from their 8 man rotation and one behind Oklahoma. sigh
