So I hear today that TJ is coming off knee surgery and may miss the entire season?  Somebody please tell me this is not true......I was expecting big things from him and depth is so important for us especially on the frontline.  Anybody know what type of knee surgery he had and if we might see him at all this year?

According to this Messenger article, it's is still up in the air. If he can get to 100%, he'll play this year. He's not 100% yet but ahead of schedule.

This year we could go 11 deep with the addition of Green and Wilkins. It could turn out to be a good thing to have TJ not only next year but the year after.

As much as I hope he can play, we have the depth this year that this would not be a completely devastating injury.  Disappointing? Absolutely.  But not the end of the world.

I agree with Stub, can he get a medical redshirt?  I would love to have him around another year or so especially when he's 100%.

This can be a special year - I would guess he wants to be part of it.  Keep pounding TJ - good luck in your recovery.

The quotes from JC, specifically mentioning it could be all year...makes me think that is the unoffical plan...unless he makes very good progress with the injury AND the team proves to really need him.  Otherwise, it sounds like they will err on the side of caution and keep TJ around 1 more year.

He was downright awesome for a few key games down the stretch.

He was big time in the clutch last March. Hope he has a full recovery. He has two years left and was one of our most improved players last year. Definately a key player for us. He wasn't afraid to take big shot in big game. He didn't care what his season numbers were. In the biggest game he stepped up and knocked down big shot after big shot. He will be a much better player in his last two years. He has tremendous upside.

Agree.  And don't forget his clutch rebounding at Buffalo and elsewhere.

I actually hope he's able to play this year.  Without him, I'm concerned that we won't have much depth up front.  Especially in the November and early December games until Kadeem Green becomes eligible.

Kenny Belton could help a lot up front, if healthy.   Any word on how he is looking this year?  For his sake and the Team's, I would love for him to be a substantial contributor.

Jason Arkley Tweeted this today: "Ohio hoops notes: TJ Hall is alive and well. Still not cleared for full contact after off-season knee surgery, but progressing"

Hall brings a lot to the table for us. His versatility is a great asset for the coach. He is a tough guy to account for because at the 4 he can go outside and knock down a three if left open. I think he really thrives with Christian as Hall is a lot like what Christian had at Kent st with wings that can do a little of every thing and play multiple positions. Coming off the big games in the post season he knows he can do it. Its just putting it all together. Johnson and Hall are so important as they give us extended minutes with little drop off from the starters. Teams often let up when Offutt or Kellogg go out, but Johnson and Hall come in and we often extend the lead. They bring the D force turnovers and its usually a fast break or something good for the Bobcats.

I saw DJ and Reggie at the FBall game tonight. I asked about TJ, if he was 100%. DJ said he was 75 to 80%, could be close to 100% by Portland game.

The article in the Post says that he's going to play a little on Saturday.  Good to hear.
