Looks like we get a chance at some early season (and early morning scouting) today.  Three opponents are playing in the marathon this morning / early afternoon.

8 AM - Northern Illinois (@ Valpo)
10 AM - UMass (vs. Harvard)
12 PM - Kent St. (vs. Temple)

The end of the UMass Harvard game was entertaining.  UMass scored the last 8 to win by 3.  That should be a good one in Amhearst.

Hopefully the recent football success in the MAC will carry over into basketball in the future. Why is the MAC so bad this year? Seems to be starting off worse than in years past.

Game was scheduled before the league change took place. They decided to honor the commitment. They will play 3 or 4 times this year depending on tourney match ups.

I have read 4 or 5 articles on the subject , well reported in the local press, not sure if it made national. Looking at the result Butler will either get their azz beat consistently or find out how far they came in a year.

Looks like Grambling is 0-2 vs the MAC....and Miami U got beat by Fl Gulf Coast Go major conferences! VCU-Wichita doen to the wire.

NIU did look very bad.
