is this a nice name  to call someone who you work with ?

or is this a prime example of downgrading your counterpart, to make yourself feel as though you're really something ?

this seems like a backhanded comment by an insecure person, with a monster ego !!

I think it depends on the relationship of the two people your referring to. If it's from the radio booth I don't thinks it's a big deal at all. Those two banter back and forth all the time but I get the feeling they are goods friends. It actually adds to the broadcast in my opinion and I really enjoy Russ and Robb! I think as a play-by-play team they have great chemistry and it has raised the level of the broadcast.

Given that one of the greatest basketball players to ever grace this planet shared a similar nickname, I'd say it's a compliment.

So these were the tags placed by the OU SIDs.

The reference was inside baseball and innocuous.

But props to you, Famous Miami Basketball Player, for listening to the broadcast to the closing credits.

Are you kidding? Can we find anything else to pick at? Serious disconnect here Ron. That banter goes on in many ways. I have been at the bar with these 2 and watched them play jab and poke at each other. I gotta say it is pretty tame compared to what happens in most groups of friends and no I do not think it is unprofessional at all.

Listen to Dakich when he talks to the IU broadcaster...heere fishy fishy.... You can tell there is great respect and great cameraderie. Even though Dak has a huge ego I really get the feeling it is less about his ego and more about having fun on the air and keeping his guests and constituency entertained.

And besides....do you really think Russ is the one who labels the chairs in the Convo?

If I wasn't committed to this username I would change it to The Round Mound of Profound.

I truly believe RC may be King Coal himself.
