Judging by what I read in this morning's Wheeling Intelligencer the Lady Cats were lucky to escape with a W over West Liberty University last night.   From the writeup in this morning's paper it took the Cats an overtime session to come away with a 76-74 victory.  The article also stated that WLU had the opportunity to knock-off the Cats in regulation but could not do it.  If so, the Lady Cats may have a long year ahead of them as WLU is D-II and plays in the WVAC.

I saw the game but won't comment too much. It was disappointing. The only positive I could see was that they have 2 freshman who look like they will be good.

Yes, 2 key players were out, another (probably their best) played sparingly for hopefully good reasons, and the opponents were nailing some wicked 3's, but this was a team they should have put away easily. Defense was surprisingly weak and the offense was non-existent.

What players are out? What happened to Porsha Harris?

Personally, I think this is Randall's last year to prove she belongs as our head coach.

This was Wheeling Jesuit, not West Liberty.  Both are in Wheeling and both are D2 and in the WVIAC.  Wheeling Jesuit finished last year in 15th place out of 15 teams in the conference.

I heard Cat Yelle is out for 2 weeks. Erin Bailes was there but not in uniform. Porsha is gone, I think it happened last season, and may not have been related to her injury. Maybe someone else knows.

Her contract is up at the end of the year. Barring a miracle, I don't see any way she's back. It's only gotten worse during her 4 years.
