(To my knowledge....)

None of our players are on drugs. None are dogging it in the classroom. None are cancers in the locker room. None are homesick. None are punching bouncers.

All I see are 15 guys who are working hard towards one goal, who are doing it together, will dominate a lot of games this year, and I feel like they are well-appreciated by the student body and Athens community.

Agreed. Hate to say it, but I think the football team should take notes. Not saying there are "bad apples"...just that the attitude and effort need an adjustment.

Love the chemistry out there and you can see how the guys are rooting for each other. Will be interesting to see how we respond to adversity once the games get closer. So excited for this season!!

We should be proud of both OUr major teams.....basketball and football......let's hope OUr basketball team doesn't lose 3 in a row and suddenly becomes the worst team on the planet which OUr football team has become in bandwagon eyes.

I'm not calling out the football team, but I think it's clear that there are some issues present. Players need to understand their roles and not get caught up in the emotions of the season.

It's only game 2, but that's the best team chemistry I've seen in the Convo for a long time. Everyone knows their role, different guys are prepared to step up, and we play as a team. Can't ask for much more than that.

Let's hope we don't have 15 season ending injuries with the basketball team.

If so you end up with McKinney and JSF and Borna at guard with Thompson and Coleman underneath.

I can be designated halfcourt shot taker at the end of games but I'm not good for much else.

Today was a great example of this team showing their heart. We didn't have our best "stuff" from the start - and looked quite lethargic out of the gate. But we grinded it out and pulled away with a big lead. Will be interested to see how we respond with our first "close" game of the season.
