Eagles had an early 6-2 lead, but the run now is 18-8 Orange with about 5:30 left in the half.  Could be a long night for EMU.

EMU has had a ton of trouble with Syracuse's press, but who wouldn't? Syracuse is one of the longest teams position by position in the country. The Eagles' 7-footer, Riley, for a former Big East scholarship big man, is not a very imposing player.

EMU is the tallest team in the MAC and probably the most athletic. Of course that is totally nullified by Syracuse, the tallest team in the country. But it should work to their advantage in MAC play.

Unfortunately for EMU they only have one player that can shoot the ball at all. At all.

Their Arkansas transfer, Bryant, is a fun player to watch. He reminds me a lot of Torian Oglesby.

Michael Carter-Williams, with a little more development, should become a very proficient NBA point guard.

They came within 36 of pulling off an upset.

If my memory is correct, last night's score is the same as last year's score between these two teams. Going strictly off memory, mind you.

If they just would've had a no-name guy come in and go 10 for 10 including 8 for 8 on three pointers...they would've been right in it.
