I read that Rick Majerus died last night of heart complications.  From everything I've read he was a class person in addition to being a great coach.  I always thought his Ball State team gave UNLV their hardest game in the NCAA's when UNLV won their last national title.  My condolences to his family.

Jon Smith was recruited to St. Louis by Majerus, no?

His Ball State team has to be considered one of the top 2-3 MAC teams over the past 4 decades.

I'm proud (?) to have my own Rick Majerus "moment" to remember.  Sitting in the Nationwide stands while St. Louis is handling Memphis last year when Majerus jumps up from his seat to call a time out.  Majerus is either going commando or having trouble with his elastic band because as his trousers drop halfway down his a$#  my section gets a straight-on plumber's backside view of Majerus.  Almost in unison, a half dozen guys scream "Whoa, didn't need to see that!".  Majerus didn't miss a beat, got his TO and his pants pulled back up almost in a single motion.  If you're and NCAAB fan you're going to miss Rick Majerus.
