I was not there or did I see it anywhere on internet or TV, so I don't know.  But several things came to mind as to why we got beat again by Morris AGAIN!!!

1. Where we looking ahead to Memphis?

2. Did Christian not realize we haven't beat them in 3 years and didn't have the team quite prepared?

3. Did we just get outplayed?

4. Did Robert Morris come out as hot as I've been hearing?

Once again, I wasn't there, just trying to figure out why we got beat again by Robert Morris.  It just really upsets me.

1) I've never seen a shooting performance at the college level like I did tonight

2) For some reason we got flustered in front of their....~1500? person crowd. Maybe because of the small gym.

3) The refs were absolutely awful

I'm interested to see how we bounce back.

Somethings are just meant to be....can't get our heads down over this one loss....Robby has beaten us the last four years.....they seem to be OUr kryptonite....it is what it is and it isn't what it isn't.....

JC needs to let the team know that there are bigger fish to fry in the very near future an even more important than that....the dreaded conference play....even with a "marquee" non conference win...I do not think a MAC team gets a sure thing at large bid without winning the tourney/season at least.

OOC wins are nice but when it comes down to the MAC and what we need to get into the dance....we need to focus on what we need to do to get byes in the conference tourney.....we had damn near a perfect OOC last year and it still all came down to a missed FT in the MAC champ game that solidified us into the dance.....

I think we are right where we need to be......now let's go beat Memphis!!!!!

I've said this before going back to TOS years: Why don't we practice in a local HS gym when we go on the road to some of these crackerboxes?  If for no other reason than to get used to them.  We had trouble at Anderson Arena, we have trouble at Buffalo and at other small gyms.  Our team practices at the Convo and gets used to a spacious, top-notch facility, then goes to some place small but intimate and can't seem to cope.  Maybe it's the locker rooms, I dunno.  They should make an arrangement with Athens High to practice in their gym just to get the feel of a small gym.

I was at the game. We didn't play all that bad and could have played better, but a decent performance nonetheless. The difference was their guy who scored 28 and was 10-10 from the field. 10-10! 8-8 from three point range. That's hard to overcome. Late in the game when we were making a nice run and could have won it, they nailed three point shots to squelch our rally. We played hard. That's the breaks.

Exactly.  I was there myself and we just got outplayed by one guy.  He hit shots when they counted the most and we just couldn't get ahead.  I think if we had played them 10 times we could pull out 7 or 8 wins, but luck just wasn't on our side tonight.  Neither were the referees, but you can't let yourself blame them too easily.

I was there as well. We played a horrible 5 minutes and they were hot early and they raced out to a 19 point lead. we cut it to 6 at half. Every time we got it to 3, 4, or 5 they'd hit a three. Just under 2 minutes left they got a TO on a loose ball with 5 on the shot clock and Anderson hit a fade away falling out of ounces three with Walt in his face. They just hit big shots.
