I dig it. But, think they should space the start times by about 20 minutes. Would be fun.
Of course, I once proposed playing a tournament in one of the big domes with 4 courts and games going on all day including at the same time.
So.....
That's exactly the plan.
Why are people opposed to this? It's a great idea.
Basketball in a football stadium is always a bit odd anyway because the seats are so far away from the court and players have real trouble with depth perception. And I'm sure they'll figure out a way to put all four games on Jerry World's giant screen, which may serve as a distraction to fans, players, coaches and officials. Not to mention the need to have four different PA systems capable of reaching into the stands so fans can hear but without bleeding over into the other games. Plus, in a 100,000-seat football stadium you're going to have tons of empty seats, which will add to the acoustics issues. Most important, though, what's the point? If they want to honor the troops, why not give them an opportunity to see all four games in their entirety instead of bits and pieces the way CBS covered the NCAA tourney for 20 or 30 years.
