A bit of shade cast by Jeff Boals on Twitter last night?

Tough deal for Senderoff. Was crucified by Dakich for cheating and back at a place he was a manager. Had a back Court he won’t have again. Good run but tough draw.

Disgusting performance out of Kent. That was a big ole' nothing burger. How many missed layups....12? Hate it for the conference.
It was brutal to watch them miss so many gimmes… can remember one possession where Payton missed an alley oop and Indiana took the ball right back down the floor and scored. Pretty much a turnover there

How many times over the years have posters here lamented that WE are the kings of missed layups? Perhaps someone else has beat us at our game.

Yeah it was maddening. Indiana is a very beatable team. Bizarre all those layup misses. Uhg.

Watching Purdue look clueless the last 5 minutes was fascinating. They had… nothing.

Seemed like Drake and their coach flinched. Sat on some timeouts. Benched the guard who was giving Miami fits. Took some bad shots. Anyone else notice that?

Memphis needs to be a reality show. The bickering among players and Hardaway body language was … just not good at all.

I think those 5 blocks by Jackson-Davis got into Kent's heads a bit...looked afraid every time they went to the rim.

Sincere just was not his normal self. He missed wide-open 3s that he'd normally make. Ironically, one of his few made 3s was one in which he was closely guarded and fouled, and he turned it into a 4-point play. If he was making more shots, it would have opened up other scoring opportunities. When you have a player that is that good who is having an off-day it really hurts. I'm not taking anything away from IU's defense, but between the missed point blank layups that others have mentioned and having a best player not at the top of his game makes it very hard to win.

Sincere's 4-pt play must have happened as I was dozing off. Did see one by his backcourt mate Jacobs, however, late in the first half.

Perhaps, I was dozing off and called the wrong player. That may be when I had the TV muted because I was irritated with announcers, and was not paying full attention. I believe the one that I was remembering was at about that same time. I appreciate the correction. In that case, Sincere had an even badder night than I thought he did. I guess I was trying to give him credit for something!

I honestly thought this was a joke and that he did not tweet any of this. And then I go on Twitter and I see not only did he tweet about Sendy, but he also had a tweet about Miami’s back court getting paid 800k. Was Boals drunk tweeting the other night? I'm a big fan how Boals presents himself and the program on social media, but this was a swing and miss. He might not want to hit the send button for the rest of March Madness.

Pretty sure Boeheim complained about Miami's backcourt, too. And that it was shown not to be true.

And then as a nice bonus, a couple of people hinted that it was well known that Syracuse was paying players back before the NIL.

I'm just not understanding what Boals has to gain by sending these tweets out?? It's just very odd to me. And Miami fans are killing him.

No communication on Defense and not connected. They have been a really good team to watch all year.

I just can't believe how ridiculously outsized FDU is against Purdue and FAU who have really good seven footers and they just fight and scrap and come up with so many rebounds and loose balls they shouldn't.

If Gonzaga ever decides to play defense, they'd have a shot to make a deep run again this year. I know TCU is a quality team, I saw them play a lot this season, but the Zags ole' defense certainly helped. I have a feeling UCLA will take full advantage of them next round.

I went to sleep too early on the Zags. In the back of my mind, at halftime, I figured they had a great shot to come back. They were shooting the ball great, just turning it over way too much. And UCLA seemed to be offensively playing over their heads in the 1st half.

I don't feel like FAU is being talked about enough, though. 34 and 3. 34 friggin wins. I don't care what conference you're in, winning at the clip they have won this year is not easy. What the polls did to them this year seems borderline criminal to me. Not ranked nationally until they got to 16-1. They climb as high as #19 but get dropped to unranked for losing a close game on the road to 16-7 UAB. They barely get back to #25 then go unranked the remainder of the season after losing another close road game at MTSU. A 31-3 regular season + conference tournament championship and they were UNRANKED. Surprisingly, to me, the committee gave them more respect than pollsters by giving them a 9 seed. I'd love to see them make a run to the Final 4, if for no other reason than knowing it makes Jay Bilas' head explode when mid majors make deep runs.

I was at the Louisville games tonight and I'll give Sears credit. He sure does battle out there.

Bama/SDSU was big nuts basketball. Aztecs took a huge punch then got off the mat for their own haymakers.

Lights and the moment just too big for Princeton. Great fans though.

KFC Yum Center is literally the worst NBA/NHL quality arena I've ever been to. Front plaza bland, concourses extremely narrow, directions not clearly marked, almost 0 entry portals in the lower bowl, not enough places to get beer and food. Nationwide is a thousand times a better place to see an event.
