Ohio pre-season heavy favorite in football and certainly Kent not expected to finish top three and Kent winds up being the conference heavy.

Akron and Ohio heavy favorites with everyone back to lead the MAC in basketball but early results by these two teams looks like someone else can easily outplay either team.

Who will be the Kent State of the basketball season?

Being an OU fan, I can honestly say it won't be them...What a terrible display of teamwork today - in otherwords, -NONE!

Yeah, I think that's what he meant by saying we were favorites and we weren't playing to expectations. 

Kent State could be the Kent State...

So far, Western Michigan has performed way above my expectations, but I still don't know that the Broncos are MAC championship contenders.

The MAC seems down this year - Akron suffered a bad loss to Detroit yesterday. Hopefully we can seize the moment and still be the "best of the worst"!

I can see toledo continuing to improve and hurting a couple team's seasons in late Feb.  I believe that they are banned from post season play this year for not making grades but they might make some noise late in the season.

Kent State could end up being the most dangerous late season team.  They have a good deal of talent.  Right now, they haven't gelled, but they could make a nice run late in the season if things come together.

MAC is as bad this year as I've ever seen it.
