I'd like to see -- in some alternate universe-- EMU get Kentucky to come to Ypsi just for the visual of an entire arena filled by the visitor's fans.

You could have had that visual on a snowy day at the Convo in 1997.

Isn't EMU supposed to be the class of the MAC West this year?  Wow, this conference is weak.

Not quite the class.  They were picked a not-too-close second behind Toledo (143-118 pts; 20-4 1st place votes).  Of course, with Toledo ineligible for post-season, that would make EMU the highest seed from the West in the tourney.  But calling them one of the best in the West hasn't been a great compliment for any MAC men's b-ball team lately.

If I recall, that was during our worst year in a looong time. The dreaded "5 win" campaign. Best players were Dustin Ford and Bazrah Fakhir. Eeked out a home win over Cal State Northridge and maybe Akron. Ahhhh....memories.

Could not have picked a WORSE year to host Kentucky. But even at that, the crowd was still at least 60-40 in favor of us.

The Wilderness Campaign.  Highlight for me was going to Wright State and watching us beat them for one of our five victories.  Low point was trip to Radford to watch us lose.

It was, but there was never anything for those in green to cheer about that day!

Above the dress circle in the non-season ticket seats it may have been that high.  For a lot of the Wildcat fans, even those seats were closer than they may have been able to get in Lexington.  The blue were the majority in those higher seats.
