We're past the 1/3 mark of the season and nine of the 12 teams in the MAC are separated by just one game.  Three of the preseason teams expected to be among the top teams -- Kent, Toledo and EMU -- have losing records.

Only three teams have winning records -- Ohio, Akron and WMU.  Ohio and Akron are a combined 10-0.  The rest of the conference is 20-30.

And Western has only lost to Akron and Ohio further emphasizing the haves and have nots.

I don't understand the assumption by many that Akron is #1 and we're #2. Here's a quote from Toledo's coach-

Quote:expand_more
“Ohio is really good; Akron is deeper than they are,” Kowalczyk said. “They’re the deepest team in the league.”

don't we roll 11 deep? don't we have 9 players with Sweet 16 experience, an SEC transfer and a 23yr old JC transfer?

Akron  has 6 freshmen, we have 0. I don't get it.

And Toledo's losses are to Akron, Ohio and Western Michigan.

Your first mistake is assuming that there is no political or public relations agenda when a coach takes a seat in front of microphones.

Ohio fan was by no means a target audience.
