Let's say we split the two regular season games with Akron and neither of us lose another conference game. Who gets the #1 seed?

I think that the number one seed will have a pretty big advantage.  I think Western is pretty good and playing them is like being in a street fight.

What's going to happen with Toledo being ineligible for the tournament? Is the #5 seed going to have a first round bye?

I was wondering this, too. Let's say Toledo finishes fourth in the MAC standings. Does another team bypass the quarterfinal round, or does the next team in line get the #4 seed, Toledo is like the #12 seed that can't play, and the #5 seed gets a bye to the second round?

"Men’s opening round tournament games will begin on campus sites Monday, March 11th for seeds No. 6 - No. 11, while women’s opening round tournament games will begin on campus sites Saturday, March 9th for seeds No. 5 - No. 12. The top five seeds on the men’s side will receive a bye to Cleveland, as Toledo is not eligible for this year’s men’s tournament"

Thats the most info I can find on mac-sports.com

Correct, Toledo doesn't count (except in so far as they effected other teams' records), and the tournament is seeded 1-11. #5 gets a by into the 2nd reound.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see JimG's answer
