How about adding in your choices make it to the dance?

I am not talking about O'Shea, I am talking about Groce and Illinois is no "pass me by" team.

I was looking for that option (make it to the Dance) too.  I'm not so sure it's an absolute given the Fighting Illini will make it to March Madness.  They probably will, but Illinois has lost 2 of their last 4 games.  Maybe they go into a midseason swoon like last year under Bruce Webber.  I voted for Sweet 16, although if there was a "Round of 32" option, I would have voted for that.

I wish I was had as much luck picking 6 numbers on a lottery ticket!  Oh well....

As a 3 seed Illinois will get upset by 14 seed Bryant in the first round.

That would be classic.  TOS deserves some props for what he's done so far this year, 5-0 and 12-4.

Yes he does.  At the rate things are going, there's no way Illinois gets a 3 seed.  They're not playing like the same team compared to earlier in the year.

I see the Illini 5-6.

Win first Round.
Lose in the Round of 32.

I don't think the Illini will make the NCAA tournament. Their preconference success was a mirage.

I don't think it was a mirage in any way, but they're obviously not playing worth a darn right now.

Yes, I was looking for the one-and-done option, too, but it wasn't there.  I think they'll squeak into the tourney and then lose in the first round.  Just a hunch, I could be way wrong.  It is definitely wrong, though, to have a poll with discret options as responses and leave out two possibilities -- one-and-done and two-and-through.  In the famed Scripps School of Journalism they teach courses in survey research methodology.  Perhaps successful passage of one of said courses should be a requirement to post a poll on BA!   (No, I'm not being serious, I'm just teasing.  I do that a lot, if you haven't noticed.)

MAC crew (Borowski, Sanzere, Carstensen) doing Illinois/Nebraska. Both coaches get T'd up. Borowski with maybe the worst call of the year at the 8-minute mark. But Illinois looks like they're going to pick up the W.

one of those 2 wins is vs Ohio State in impressive fashion.  The home loss to Northwestern was a bad one.  Illinois needs a few more conference wins, or will have to win the tourney to get in.

Joe Lunardi on ESPN tonight has Illinois as one of his "First 4 Out" (which is really a misnomer since the first four out will be decided in conference tourneys or maybe the regular season).  They might be in the same position we are -- needing to win the conference tourney to go dancing.

Groce looks as frustrated as I've ever seen him. He just doesn't have the talent to compete in an incredibly stacked Big Ten this season. He needs reinforcements and fast.

What a finish to take down #1 Indiana! Illinois was in a ten point hole for most of the second half, but they were able to string together possessions and win on a last second layup. Congrats Coach Groce! He really needed that.

It's hard to say. I want to call them a 5 seed due to their signature wins, but I'm leaning towards them grabbing an 8/9.

I think they pick up 1 win and lose in the second round.

Wow. Open mouth, insert foot. I still wouldn't call them a lock. I hope they get in, but they still have work to do.
