The Cardinals have a 10 point lead in the first half. While I am confident that we will finish no worse than second in the MAC standings on our own accord, some more insurance is a good thing.

The concept that a "Bracketologist" included that Western Michigan squad in any field of 68 projection belies the quackery of the field.

Big-time help for us to have WMU drop this one. Need for them to lose a few more and fall back to the back some. They're really the only team standing in our way of a top-2 seed.

We have tie-breaker over WMU, so technically, we'd have to lose 3 of last 7 and WMU win out.  I think we're safe for a top 2 seed.

The 1st seed will have bigger advantage this year.  WMU's the only other decent team in the MAC.  Toledo's not eligible.  So 1st seed gets to play their semi-final game against a field of leftovers while #2 will have to get past WMU again.

The other team who gives me pause is Eastern Michigan.  It's a team that we should be superior to, but has the system to bring us.

Kent State nearly beat us - I would be a bit nervous about playing them in the semis if they are having a good day.
