I think he's deserving of rafter status and I know he wanted it badly.
If he's not, he 100% should be. It's actually crazy if he's not already.
Didn't he go to the NBA early? He might not have graduated. Which always runs into problems, cause they tie it to graduation still, correct?. Isn't that why it took Trent two decades + to get recognition? Why DJ will never get recognition?
He played four years. No idea if he actually graduated.
He 100% graduated on schedule, I gave him a high five that day and can still picture him in the cap and gown.
Very cool!

I feel like a 34 patch is in order for jerseys this season in his honor.

I hope they do this. Retire #34!

This so terrible. And then you see the ages of his children and it gets worse.

Apparently he collapsed at the end of a yoga session. My son heard that small detail on a radio news show he was listening to.

Someone help me out here. Why wasn't #34 already in the rafters? He clearly has the numbers that are deserving and he did graduate...so what is the issue? Very sad week to be a Bobcat. Thinking of his family.

If Hunter has his degree...how in the hell is #34 not in the Convo rafters?

It was a hot yoga session, which I can attest are not easy by any means with temps ranging between 95-100 degrees, usually in small rooms with no circulation. I can't imagine a man with Brandon's athletic history that he would have much trouble with that, but I can also see where it would not be safe for the faint of heart.

You’d think with that mountain of stats he’d be a sure fire pick to have his number retired. I just hope we do something to honor him first home game of the year. 34 patches for the whole year, tribute video, heck, even retire his number! He more than deserves it. Still shaken about this whole deal. Saw him a year ago when he was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame - still looked like he was in amazing shape.

I shared all 4 years in Athens with him, never missed a game. He was such a beast. I talked to him several times including just a few years ago, he was always such a nice guy and loved Athens. Big time player, a true travesty how much we underachieved as a team during his years. This is a tough pill to swallow.

I, of course, watched him play in most of his games. I only talked to him once. In the Rohr Room at halftime of a game early in the Saul Era. He was very high on Saul and called him a "player's coach."
