Yeah, it's mostly a preference thing. But I also have the feeling Groce's system is closer to where the sport is headed and gives us a better chance to make an impact nationally. We had excellent forwards before and went nowhere because the guard play wasn't up to snuff. I fear that will happen again.

I'm looking forward to finishing higher than third place in the MAC. That's a reality of Groce's system.

Christian coached two MAC POTYs at Kent...Al Fisher and DeAndre Haynes, both point guards..

<shudders>They share the honor of being the two least deserving POTY in MAC history. Haynes won it because they couldn't figure out who else to give it to.  The best players in the league were on bad teams.   Haynes was a good player on a good team.  He shouldn't have even been 1st team All-MAC.  Fisher won it because he hit two buzzer beaters on TV.  PGs that turn it over more than they get assists and with low shooting percentages don't win POTY in my book.

Does that mean that the "reality" of Christian's system is one and done in the postseason?

Fisher was fifth in the NATION in turnovers that year! Argh.
