For the fifth straight season, the East won at least 2/3 of the interdivisional games.  With Ohio's win tonight, the East finishes at 24-12 vs. the West.  The previous four seasons were 30-6 (last season), 27-9, 26-10, 29-7 for a 136-44 record (.756).

But...

Ohio and Akron are the entire difference this season.  They're 12-0 vs. the West; the rest of the East was 12-12.  As a result, this may be the first season since '03-'04 that the East doesn't have at least four teams with a winning conference record.  Ohio and Akron will be there, but Buffalo is 6-6 and has to win three out of four, with both Ohio and Akron still on the schedule.  At 5-7, Kent and BGSUcks each need to win out, but they play each other, so only one can have a shot.  Plus, Kent plays Akron, and Ohio is at BGSUcks, so neither will have it easy.

How do those interdivisional numbers (EAST dominating WEST) compare to football? (I'm at a conference for work or I'd do as I normally do and compile stats for the last 10 years and make this post way more involved than need be, lol)
