This week's Coaches Poll has them tied for 27th with St. Mary's, just 4 pts behind #26 St. Louis and only 31 behind #25 ND.  They're farther down on the AP poll -- 32nd.  A bracketbusters win and who knows....

Not only would it add to the enjoyment, it would add a good win in the eyes of the media and committee. That's assuming of course that the Akron game is preceded by two wins this week.

Ranked or not, I hope they are unbeaten in MAC play.  I plan on being in Athens to see OUr team take them down!

Well considering we are their next MAC game, I'd say that is a pretty good bet.

8,000 is setting the bar too low.  We can get 10,000 for this game whether they are ranked or not.

Akron may come into Athens ranked but they won't come in with the nation's longest winning streak. If Memphis keeps winning they will pass Akron the day before our game, Akron will have to beat us to stay tied. Just more pressure.

we are 19-6, this time last year we were 19-6.

Akron comes into Athens 12-0, last year they came in 12-1.

Don't believe the hype, Akron has not been dominating the MAC, they've been eeking out wins against bad teams. All this silliness comes to an end in 9 days.
