Won't top Oho-BG 1970 either. Last game of the season for all the marbles. Largest crowd in the history of the Convo (14,000+ SRO). The fire marshal said that they'd never allow that many people in the Convo again, so that's a record that'll never be eclipsed. 13,030 is the official capacity. Also, there were games in the 1960s when BG had guys like Nate Thurmond and Howard Komives and WMU had Manny Newsome. One year I remember Manny and Howard were fighting each other all year for the #1 high scorer position.
It seesawed back and forth. The Akron game is a big game, though. I don't want to underestimate it. GO OHIO!
