His and the others' Senior Night game should sell out. I don't care what else is going on that night. Each and every one of those 20,000 students have been touched by this basketball team in some way. Get to the Convo against Miami please. I know I'm making the trip over from Cincinnati to do so. It's worth it to see this group play at home one more time.
DJ has been my favorite player to watch since he stepped on campus. Maybe it's because I was a PG in high school. Maybe it's because I also wore the number '5' on my jersey. I don't know. The fact of the matter is, we might NEVER see another player like this in Ohio history. People were probably saying the same thing back when Trent left too.
Thanks, DJ. You've turned me into a child again.
P.S. Favorite DJ moments of all time?
-Both of mine come from the Georgetown game. Both exemplify is court vision. Of course, one is the behind-the-head lob to Devaughn for the slam which was replayed over and over and over and over. That was a signature moment. The other was actually a turnover in the first half. He tried to throw a lob pass to Devaughn down low, but it was either just a bit off or Devaughn didn't time it right, and it went out of bounds. The fact that DJ even attempted it and saw that Devaughn had just enough room to score was incredible to me. Even more, he had the guts to throw it.
