Shut about about Belmont.

  • We are 11-1 and have a 12-0 team coming into our house.  All we have to do is protect our home court and we are even steven for tops in the MAC and on the path to a regular season MAC title.
  • We haven't won a regular season conference title in nearly 20 years.
  • Our most hated opponent BY FAR is coming to our house this week.
  • Wednesday will be another chapter in a 4 year run of one of the most historic and intriguing rivalries in MAC history, and the last time we will see Zeke Marshall in the Convo before he gets a crack at the NBA.
  • It is the 2nd to last home game for the most successful senior class we have ever had, led by our legendary point guard who will hopefully hang in the rafters some day.
  • Alex Abreu and DJ Cooper hate eachother.
  • Akron has the longest winning streak in the nation.
  • Akron is ranked #24 in the country.
  • Akron is good, but the ONLY thing they've done that we haven't is had the chance to beat us on their home court.  We get the same chance this week.
Belmont kicked our ass.  They played really really good, we stunk.  I am not happy about it, but I've got other things to worry about...because this is the most exciting regular season MAC game as I've ever seen in my days as a Bobcat...By far.

Just that I'm wondering if we've played well and shown ability to make in-game adjusments in any of our top tough/challenge games this year, which, if not so, is curious from a group that was so splendid at end of last year.
