That was an extremely entertaining game.  WOW!

'kron hits a dball 2 seconds into the game, next hoop (Treadwell?) just throwis it at the rim and it goes in (after a travel, not called), suddenly it's 9-0, then our huge run...tremendous game.

We are lacking on the boards and on defense (recovery off doubling).  But if we'd've played in our losses as we played tonight, we'd have a better record for sure.  We played well.

Treadwell is a fine player.  He's not as explosive as our Walt but he's physically dominant in that type of way.

Only one complaint about tonight--lack of energy for the first part of the 2nd half when 'kron made their run.

That was a good ball game.

We can get them in Cleveland.

Treadwell is an absolute animal...I kind of thought we should've gone offense for defense between Reg and Smith as Reggie just looked a half-step slow and didn't have the quick jump to keep him off the boards.

I cannot get over how quickly Akron's run came at the start of the half...felt like I hadn't even settled back into my chair yet and our lead was down to 3.

I completely agree with you...that was a great college basketball game, Akron is a very good team.

Our effort was superb for about 95% of the game...too bad the 5% we let off, Akron went nuts and couldn't miss.  We ran out of gas in overtime--DJ just looked exhausted as he was leaving everything short, and Reggie's feet just looked stuck in the mud.

Huge effort from Jon Smith and Travis Wilkins off the bench...those guys deserve some serious credit.

Anyway, I'm trying to stay positive after this one...I won't beat up the coaching staff as I know they'll be plenty of that going around.

Akron is so good.

Props to Travis and Smith for giving us some great minutes tonight.

We just get too freaked out/rattled on offense and go silent for too long.

D rebounding....terrible. I'd like to see Ric & Ivo (especially) get more mins.

Still wondering if Kellogg is on the team.

Overall, I think it was a step in the right direction for the program. Students turned out, and the O Zone was crazy.

Props to Akron for playing in probably the most hostile environment anyone on that team has played.  The Convo was indeed rocking tonight.

That was a good basketball game. I don't have a lot of complaints about the game. Closer to good 40 minutes of solid effort by the team than we have seen most of the year. Refs sucked, but they always do, and seems we got the bad end of the total deal there - especially missing quite a few foul calls when we were at the basket. Akron is Good. Treadwell is a beast - what he got, points and rebounds, were because he wanted it more, and he was determined to get it. I think size was the key difference - altered/ blocked shots at the rim, including several that were fouls - but the size difference, at multiple positions, will get you that. We did rush things a bit a few times. We play with the same grit for 40 minutes in Cleveland and we have at least as good a shot at winning as we did tonight.

Too bad that 2 of our season beginning starters have just seemed to fall completely off the charts.
