I have no problem with this list at all.  It's about how I would have voted, too.  Glad to see Walt was included on 3rd team.

Well-deserved recognition for DJ, Walt and Reg.

I trust that voting was held before Abreu's arrest last week, or might that have had an effect?

Minus the arrest, I would think Abreu would have been at least third team.

I'm also glad to see Walt ane Reggie on the third team. Walt is deserving but I didn't think he'd get it beause there are guys with bigger numbers. Reggie has had a great year and if there was maybe just one more second-team spot, maybe he could have had it. Tough to take off any of those guys from the second-team.

I was thinking he would have made the second team so I think it did have an effect.

Abreu is the only one who seems out of place to me, but that's fair. I think he made more than an Honorable Mention contribution to his team this season, but he also made quite a negative contribution this past week.

I'd like to point out that two of the MAC All Freshman list played together at Warren Township High School, my current employer.

They both turned down bigger opportunities to play in the MAC. Good to see them share in the recognition.

Sadly, they never won a state title. Simeon High School was quite difficult to beat.

Wow, that's a serious HS frontcourt.  Both are going to be All-MAC several times down the road.

Wow, I guessed 19 of the 20 players on the correct teams in the POY thread (LINK).  The only one I missed was Crawford instead of Walt. Glad to see Walt get the recognition.  I'll be amazed if I get the rest right though, especially considering, I dont know the criteria to be considered a "6th man". (i.e. would Walt or Ivo be considered since they started less than / about 1/2 the games?)

I think AA is second team without his arrest.  My guess is that would have bumped Scaife to 3rd team and Offutt to HM.

I agree that the selections make a lot of sense.

I'd also say that the talent level, at least of the first team, and maybe beyond that, is better than it has been in a long time.
