I think we saw the torch being passed to Stevie and Jon this afternoon.  The starters were having a really tough day, so it took next year's floor leaders -- Stevie and Jon -- to rally the troops.  I'm really impressed with how these two have matured this season -- especially Stevie -- and how they've given us renewed hope for next season.

Now, let's take the MAC tourney.

Honestly, i'm not to worried about next year. We have a bunch of 6-8+ bodies coming in. We also have Stevie and Bean Willis sharing duties at point, and Nick will be Shooting guard. We'll just see who comes out and gets the Forward positions.

Just back home in cincy and I gotta agree, I think Stevie and Jon saved us today.  I am just hoping that TJ and Ric learn to play defense with their FEET and NOT their HANDS so they can play more minutes next year!

That 15 - 0 run was Stevie's coming out party.  And Travis can be the 3-point threat Nick was last year, but needs to spend time working on his ball handling and defense.

We can still go 8 or 9 deep next year pretty solidly, unless one of the below doesn't live up to the hype. We've got such energy with my projected starting lineup next year I think we'll be a BETTER defensive team. Offfensively maybe struggle but man, think about this:

PG: Stevie
SG: Nick
SF: T.J.
PF: Jon Smith
C: Ndour

BENCH
PG: Bean
SG: Rico
SF: Wingfield/Campbell
PF: Setty
C: Kadeem

And while I know Travis will play, I have heard that Wingfield is the real deal. Minutes might be tough. He could be the SG with Rico at SF. Then Mompremier can redshirt. I think Bean will average close to 10 ppg and Ndour will pan out with at least 10 and 8 and will block shots at will with Jon. The key may be if Kadeem makes any kind of jump and if Setty can contribute. He did already in the Missouri Valley, nothing says he can't play in the weaker MAC.
