For all those who think The Whiz has improved…I hope you are enjoying watching him get smoked in the paint by a 7’3 string bean true freshman. Embarrassing.

Agree.

Our rebounding sucks

I think we are toast tonight

How many times can we dribble the ball into the lane and lose it or get tied up?

The rim is showing us no mercy on a number of good looks tonight.

A million missed layups. Tough to play Cornish if he doesn’t make shots. AJB no-show hurt in so many ways.

Struggled on offense? We average 80 or so and we have 47!

Watching our offense is like watching me play offense on NBA Live video games back in the day. I didn't really run an offense, I just kinda...did things. Like, just kinda made it up as I went. That's how I feel watching us on the offensive end. There doesn't seem to be much purposeful movement. No shared sense of what we're trying to do. We're just kinda...doing things.

There are enough guys who can score on this team to overcome an off night, but we’re obviously a waaaay better team when AJB is AJB. 3-16 from 3PT with only EJ4 and Jaylin in double-digits is never going to be enough offensively. Collectively, it’s been an ugly offensive game.

Still haven’t seen anything that’s resembled the Troy game since.

Only positive takeaway is Hadaway continues to play more quality minutes.

Biggest thing about our offense is our lack of sharing the ball. Way too much dribbling. I wonder how many assists we have tonight?

6. 4 are from Shereef. If we were better at shooting the 3, I imagine that number would be a little higher. Still, I agree. We could be doing more facilitating.

Our assist to turnover ratio always seems to be god awful. As I type this with 3 minutes left it's 6:10 - brutal. Shooting 17% from 3. You can't win basketball games this way.

Another ball lost in the lane because we dribble so much

Well said.

We really miss a having a big man with an inside scoring presence. When shooters or slashers go cold, it hurts not being able to have a big fella to throw it down to. Plus, we got killed on the boards tonight.

Worried our guards don't hit 3s consistently enough.

Our guards are too small to go into the lane and try to score all the time. They need to slice in the lane and pass the ball out. We just didn’t shoot enough threes early on in the second half.

#CaptainChaos Hadaway should get the start on Saturday. Time for AJB to sit.

We need Miles back. I think AJC has been a solid scoring presence inside this season. Hadaway seems to be gaining more confidence each game.

But you’re right, it’s ugly when the slashing and shooting isn’t there.

I don’t know. The Whiz line drive 96 mph jump hook that went flying off the front rim into the O-Zone section was big man art.

For a team that's all guards, we're not a very good shooting team. Really need AJB to get healthy and work his way out of his shooting slump.

YSU not a bad team. We are 1-2 vs the Horizon. Bobcats looking more like an average MAC team. Which isn't good.

Just gonna copy and paste from last game because it all still applies.

AJ Brown is not 100%.

We have no bigs outside Clayton, who would rather be a guard.

And we have 2 very talented, but shoot/drive/score first guards, who would much rather call their own # than run an offense.

For a team with 739 guards, we don't shoot the 3 very well. That's a bad combination. And our assists per made FG is terrible. Both the assists and the 3% could be cured with better ball movement and facilitating from the guards.

Boals ball=yawn.

Rosters have always been underwhelming.

Glad they’re not playing any high majors-would be ugly.

I'll agree on the third statement. This years team looks like an average MAC team in a very weak MAC.

I'm pretty ???? about the first two though.

In the post-Jim Snyder era, Boals ranks:

5th in wins (83), 2 behind Groce for 4th
2nd in winning pct (83-50 .624), behind only Jim Christian (49-22 .690)
1st in home winning pct (52-12 .813)
1 MAC Championship
t4th in MAC Tourney wins (6), behind Groce/O'Shea/Hunter with 9
2nd in MAC Tourney win pct (6-2 .750), behind Groce (9-2 .818)
1 NCAA win

He's basically 1st or 2nd everywhere when it comes to winning pct. Not sure how that equates to "yawn" and "always underwhelming".

Groce, O'Shea, and Hunter all tied for tournament wins is so funny to me.
