Will be interesting to see how we respond to coming back from double OT on short turnaround. And how they respond to getting dusted by 30.

By the way, I don't know what that court is on top of but the playing conditions are terrible. I watched parts of all four games and players were slipping all day and night. The towel guys were constantly wiping the floor. They have eight more games to play. This is not good.

Yea, I got there early to catch UIC/Middle Tennessee. Same issue. Hopefully the court doesn’t take a knee or ankle from anyone.

As for Middle Tennessee — tough to gauge. Had some bad luck on shots and really couldn’t get any momentum going offensively.

To your point, which team bounces back from a more draining defeat.

The announcers are loving Wiz in the MTSU game. They have called him “agile”! They have also exclaimed “Throw it down, Big Fella!” And “It’s the Gabe Witznitzner Show!” No Lie…I heard them. Go cats.

Hahaa…The Whiz just needed my positive post pep talk this morning. Also, FJC31….on the broadcast it looked like Hadaway was yelling at himself and the official thought he was yelling at him? For the technical? WTF

MTSU transition defense has been awful and they can’t stop dribble penetration. Continue to drive.

Well, hey. You can't miss any free throws if you never get to the line.

Total of 5 assists by our guards. Not gonna do it.

I'll donate $10 to a charity every time Mitchell hits both free throws. It hasn't happened yet.

Nice bounce back performance today on next to no rest. Shot 59.3% from the field. Clayton with another solid performance. Hunter was efficient from the field and even Whiz had a few uncontested dunks. Middle Tennessee State looked rough but the Bobcats did what they needed to do. Gotta finish this tournament with a win over Brown.

I didn’t see exactly what happened; I was looking at my phone. Some MTSU fans did say he was directing it towards the ref but who knows.

Solid win. Sheldon and Clayton have impressed me the most this trip. I have no worries about Sheldon moving forward. He might be our best 3PT threat and taking on the big guy with contact for a basket was mean. As I said in the previous thread, Wiz is going to Jekyll and Hyde it. Played better today.

I do think Shereef is getting a little ball happy; but, if no one else (AJB/EJ4) is going to slash, at least he’s getting to the basket — just wish he could hit more than one FT. EJ4 played a little less passive, I almost wonder if he’s afraid of drawing an offensive since he’s built like an NFL RB and guys bounce off him.

When Miles returns, I wonder if that will change things for the wings since Shereef will be bumped to the second unit.

Unrelated to us — The towel kid was basically non-existent. He was on his phone so much. The student managers and assistant coaches did more work that I have to think each team complains to the Baha Mar about the courts. Player safety will be the concern for this tourney moving forward.

Nice to get the W. There is still a lot of work to be done, but I love the fight in this team. They never give up…although I’d have preferred they worked the clock and took high percentage shots when the game was in hand at the end. They’re learning still. I’m looking forward to see what happens next.

I think Reef with being ball happy is making up for his lost time at Creighton. But man…he can get to the hoop fast. He needs to figure out his FT’s…some real clunkers in this tournament.

FJC31 has covered it, but so far, Clayton is MVP. I am so impressed by his defense and also leadership.

AJB still not comfortable. This becomes a different team when he’s scoring. It will come.

I think Boals gave Elmore a nice talking to at halftime. He was aggressive taking it to the cup in the second half.

The Whiz didn’t miss his dunks. I can’t complain, but man, he makes me nervous when trying to hand off on the wing to a guard.

No matter what happens tomorrow, the biggest thing that came out of this tournament is that Ajay Sheldon has confidence and his teammates have confidence in Ajay Sheldon. Doesn’t feel like we are
going to see Miles anytime soon. It’s nice not to try and rush Miles back knowing Sheldon is contributing.

Make free throws tomorrow and take care of Brown.

16 Assists to 10 Turn's.....we are back.

41% behind the arc. Key.

That’s likely an accurate assessment on Shereef. I think we all agree letting him run the second unit will bode well, but glad we have a number of guys that can score 15-20+ points and enough role players who can get baskets.

That was probably the biggest frustration two seasons ago. When Sears, BVP, and Carter weren’t scoring, we weren’t as a whole team it seemed like.

I’ll take a 2-1 trip after going to double OT with a team likely more talented than Akron/Kent down Miles.

I wasn’t able to watch this game, as I’m in California with my family for Thanksgiving. However, I’m glad anytime we (or another conference team) beat MTSU since they thought they were too good for the MAC and were the next in line for the AAC. Talk about a delusional fan base.

We won't lose many games in the MAC hitting 41% from 3. We enough guys who can drive to the hoop and score (Hunter, AJB, Mitchell, Miles, Elmore, etc etc) so when we are clicking from 3, we're tough to beat.

Clayton was spectacular last night and good to see Jaylin more efficient.
