MAC #18
Ohio #67, #2 in MAC

Pomeroy:  Ohio #79

ESPN BPI:  Ohio #73

Well, MAC not likely to improve much - but OHIO sure can.

Sagarins:

MAC #16
Ohio #74, #2 in MAC

Realtime RPI:

MAC #17
Ohio #97, #2 in MAC

Pomeroy
MAC #14
Ohio #72, #2 in MAC

ESPN BPI
Ohio #77, #2 in MAC

The Bracketbusters weekend will give the MAC a chance to move up 2 or 3 slots or drop a slot or two.

Added Pomeroy and ESPN rankings.

Thanks for updating recently, cracker and Ted Thompson.

Anyone think Western could be a darkhorse contender to knock either Ohio or Akron out of the MAC tournament?  Computer ratings would have us think they would be the greatest threat.  Currently #2 in MAC in RPI, and #3 in MAC in Sagarins.

Sure. I mean WMU almost beat Ohio.

www.rpiforecast.com has updated their site to include Conf Tournaments now.  They have Ohio going 1-1 in the MAC Tourney.  That would have us at 25-7 (losing at Belmont) with a Projected RPI around 43.  The highest porbability on their site would have us finishing at 24-8 which would be a projected RPI around 55.  They give us a 2% chance at running the table, which would put our RPI in the mid 30s.

I am with you Jeff on WMU.  If things go "by the book"  I would think that the final 4 in the MAC will be Kent, Western, Ohio and Akron.   The interesting part of the MAC race will be whether or not The Buffs, or another "dark horse" could somehow crash the party and make the "final 4", knocking Kent or WMU out.

Love how the MAC's ranking always seems to bounce around in the Sargins and stays flat in the RPI.
