I think it's funny. Definitely not one of my concerns this evening.

Ain't such a big deal.  We always add "CKS" to the drum beat on the "BGSU" chant.  What they're proposing just shows a lack of imagination.  Sort of like the WMU "William Tell Overture" spot they showed on STO last night.  Lame.  Reminded me of when WMU's band played "Whistle While You Work" while marching from one formation to the next at Peden in the mid '70s.

No different than the CKS for BG, adding U at OSU, etc.

The dueling fanbases and back and forth is one of my favorite parts of college sports.

I wouldn't call it classless, seems like harmless fun to me. If anything, it's unrealistically optimistic, there's no way Akron fans could ever out shout Ohio fans.

side note- I've heard fans from other MAC schools say how much they hate that cheer. I guess because its so simple anyone and everyone can do it? I would think winningteam/losingteam would be more hated.

They may not be classless but they sure aren't too bright.  Below is an actual quote from their board.

I am really tired of hearing about the INVISIBLE DJ Cooper. He is but one player and they have no bench strenght at all.
I have no doubt we will contain him and HIS team and win the championship.
OU does not walk on water and tonight they will sink biggrin.gif We have proven that the last two games against them
GO ZIPS
by the way the girls are doing an awesome job right now. They are project to win and in the baracketology slated to play PENN

Community college education strikes again.  In the last game, their bench outscored ours 22-21.  Kretzer had 19 of their 22.  I don't expect that kind of production from him tonight; he had 3 -- count 'em, 3 -- last night and nada in 10 mins of play in the game up there.  Up there, both benches scored 18.  Sounds pretty even to me.

I think he will light us up if we do not close out 3 balls. He and road surface (Macadam) are money if not closed out. We will see if Christian can get into his kids heads the principles of defending the arc and X in g out of the high hedge to a degree that mimics last years success. Kids can do it...just need to.

I do not think last night is any indication of how good Kretz and Mac can be if left openj

I said last week and stand behind the idea that Kron offense can actually be better by turning it inside out and relying less on dribbling and m ore on passing. They have the athletes to do that but only coaching can make that happen. THey have total ability to play over the top of us if they want.

One of the things we have to do is keep zeke outside or up top nad not let him play a one man zone in the key. We have the athletes to do that and once we get the mismatch need to drive and dish and (IVO I am lookin at you!!!) finish.

I am not very comfy with this game tonite. I would like to take a day off next week and head out on the tourney trail . Hope the Cats realize how precious these trips are and take full advantage of the opportunity.
