Maryland rallied to win after trailing by nine with 9 min to go.

If we had beaten Denver, I doubt we would've been close vs Md.  The travel alone would've been wearing.  Denver at least had the benefit of being at home for the first game and having a longer layoff before they played us.  They were fresher; we would've been pretty stale.

Maryland would have been a matchup nightmare for us IMO.  I doubt we would have lost like Akron did against VCU but it could have been ugly.

The only advantage we would have had against Maryland would have been their knowledge that the University of Maryland has never beaten Ohio...

Our big advantage vs. UMD would have been that we were great at creating turnovers and UMD turned the ball over a lot.

Obviously our biggest disadvantage would have been size.

Ironically, UMD won this game with a lineup of all guards and one forward.  They took out all of their big men with about 9 minutes to play and played small to match Denvers quickness.  They were down by 9 at that point i believe, and then closed the game on a huge run powered by that small lineup (mainly Dez Wells)

Udofia was absolutely killing the Terps big men with his quickness on cuts.  He ended up fouling out late but still was very impressive.  He is gonna be a player for them during his senior year next year.
