I hope he doesn't feel that way once he gets into a game environment. I think he'll forget about it, especially with his career on the line.

He 'll show up....he is a fierce competitor. After hte shockl wears off and he hears the horn sound he will be all in.

I talked to Tommy while he was in England. Par t of his contract was that he had to play in the BUCS chmapionship series in return for the team paying for his Masters studies. He was less than thrilled to play 4 games in 4 days..... I said. "if you were playing in the Soul Bowl in Muncie and knew that the usual path to finals was 7 games what would you do?".....He said "yeah you're right". He Went out and played, they won the tourney and was he named MVP.......

Walt is no different, Once he gets in the gym and the horn sounds he will play every play and go hard to the hole. Voicing an opinion honestly and in a moment of reflection does not mean , to me, that he is not intending to show up.

I know guys that did actually not in previous CBI and CIT tourneys. Lucky for them no one asked beforehand or after whether they wanted to play or not....if you were there you knew who they were by their play and their biody language....

Denver will be dealing with the same thing. They wanted to be in the NCAA Tournament, too, and as co-champs of their league, I'm sure they thought they'd have a good chance of being there. Then they had a bad game at the wrong time.

I appreciate Walt being honest, and I have no worries he'll give it his all. I have pretty good confidence in all the guys that they'll be up for it. I believe the seniors especially want to go out as winners.

As a reminder this is only possible for 4 teams in the country. Sure there are moral victories but 340 or whatever teams will have an L next to their last game.

There is also half the Ivy League as well as teams who don't qualify for their conference tournament who happen to win their last game.

His comments seem honest and they don't bother me because in my experience in watching him and hearing from others, he's going to play hard no matter what.

It could be in front of 20,000 people against UNC in Sweet 16 or over at Ping with no one watching, he's seems like the type of guy that goes hard no matter what.

We've all probably played with or know guys like Walt...last pick-up game of the day, everyone is kind of going half-speed, but there is that one guy that just goes 100% no matter to the end.

That's my impression of Walt...he's going to crash the boards hard, he's going to try to take a charge, he's going to take the ball to basket strong.

I love his honestly. Have enjoyed following him over the past couple of years.

He'll be ready tonight.

That was  a total joke effort by walt. Surprising because that guy is usually such a tough player. I learned to expect nothing from IVo awhile ago but Walt was surprising to not do anything. At least Keely played tough

Not only that but he didn't even attempt a shot or foul shot.

Had a long negative post typed, and scrapped it.  Loved the 4 year run with these guys.  As always I look forward to next year.  It's going to be an important season and important recruiting class.

Baltic with 15 rebounds, 1 for 2 from the field.  Disappointing ending to a great run with these seniors to say the least.

If he had a few more rebounding games like that, we probably win some of the earlier losses this year.  We were killed on the boards in a lot of our losses.  Tonight, we just couldn't stop the princeton offense and had our shots blocked way too many times by a team that did not have a size advantage over us.

And that in a nutshell is why this season ended as it did.  This time last year Nick, Ivo and Walt were consistent contributors.  This year not so much consistently.  Ivo, Walt & Nick totally disappeared tonight and having 3 of your top 5 guns as not scoring options is too much to overcome.

I hope this thread takes a turn. No one should be dumping on Walt. Is everyone hating on DJ because he didn't make a basket against Akron? He went 0-for-8 in that game, which is worse than Walt's 0-for-0 tonight.

For those who have watched closely the past two years, Walt has been the heart of this team. Not the engine (D.J.), but the heart. No one has wanted it more than he has. Don't kick this young man when he's down.

We're all upset the season's over, but none of us feels as bad about that as the players do. This is the time to wish these young men well and thank them for their service, not to focus on whether someone took three shots tonight or none...

It's obvious, Walt backed up his Post comments by his play tonight, absolutely pathetic. Very disappointed in him.

Refs didn't help with that absolutely ridiculous defensive foul called on him in the 2nd half.

I love the senior class and thank them for great memories and the most wins by a senior class in Ohio history.

However, they didn't step up like seniors should this year in big games. That is what has led to a disappointing end to the season and bickering among Bobcat Attackers...

Could not agree more, and after that performance I'd love to get Boracatfans take on it.

Bottom line, our Bowl opponent had players make comments such as this one, and people jumped all over them and talked about how it's motivation. Hey, better feel the same way when one of our own does this.

And, no one is dumping on Walt, he's being treated with kid gloves compared to some on this board, but face the facts, he made a mistake.
