His play hurt us so much last night, especially when coupled with TJ and Jon in foul trouble.  So instead you have Reggie getting overworked such that we couldn't just give him the rock later in the game because he just didn't have the energy to do what he did in the 1st half.

Wow, if you are in for some interesting numbers, just take a look at the Season Statistics for 2012 and then 2013.  We shot better from 2 and 3, had almost 100 more assists, almost 70 less turnovers, more blocks and fewer steals!

Then look at rebounding...ugh!  Offensive boards last year 451!!.  This year, only 294!  Basically nobody hit the offensive glass.  Everybody was down including Reg (from 82-49)...WTF?  DJ had half as many (28-15), walt down (48-34), Ivo down (49-34) and hall down.  Smith and Ric up a bit.

i know there were differences in playing time and number of games played but bottom line is it looks like we really rebounded a lot worse as a team this year.  Average down from 34-31 while opponents were about the same 35-35+.

Overall, points went up 70.2 to 72.9 and opponents points up 62.5 to 64.6.

Now, don't ask me what all this means.  I think it probably shows we were really not much different as a team from last year (other than O rebounding).  We just lost the one big game in March that we won by 1 point last year to get us to the dance.

So, maybe we didn't improve any but we certainly weren't worse.  Maybe the guys just became the best they could be last year and pretty much sustained that level this year.

I tried to look at rebounding in terms of rate. Defensive rebounding % was slightly better but offensive rebounding % fell sharply. Tough to say whether that comes from a difference in player's approach, coaching strategy, lack of penetration to move defenders or what.

In no way, shape or form am I questioning Walt, one of my favorites.  And you could especially tell he was playing all out in Cleveland on every trip down the court.  I just think he was a bit less effective this year than I had anticipated going into the season.

Ahh. I misinterpreted the 75% comment. Apologies.
