I heard that Miami's starting lineup averages 22 and a half years old as they won the ACC to a high seed in NCAA.

We could have done like that except we didn't have a veteran team and we had so many injuries.

Do you mean the same group of players that disappointed last year in the first year under their new coach?   You can cherry pick story lines all you want to make this year suck for Ohio but it didn't.  It didn't come close to meeting our expections but that's on us, not the team.  By almost any reasonable standard this year was one of the best seasons of the last 40 years.  The ending blew but the ride along the way was exhilirating.

Rigid.  Unable, unwilling to see anything other than the broadest of strokes.

I thought the interesting thing was that in the South region, the final four teams could all be teams Ohio has faced (and beaten/scared) in the NCAA tournament recently -- Michigan, Georgetown, North Carolina and Florida.

I had trouble picking G-town and Mich in the first round.  But G-town's going up against Florida Gulf Coast, whose star player -- Sherwood Brown -- is a senior who acts like a freshman.  Big showboater who blows kisses to the crowd and damn near got Td up a couple of times in their conference championship game for taunting.  Had to be taken out of the game to get the lecture.  Million dollar talent with a five-cent head.  Mich has matured this season (thanks in no small part to facing Ohio in last year's tourney) and is probably better than SDSU.  Plus, they're playing in their own back yard, and West Coast teams that come to the Eastern Time Zone rarely do well.

Edit: Sorry, wrong SDSU.  It's S. Dakota St, not San Diego St.  Anyway, it's hard to imagine a team from the Dakotas beating any Big Tenfinity team other than Minn or Wis.

Obviously, the same can be said of your own inability to allow people to enjoy this season. It HAD to be better than this...

I'm sorry that you feel that I kill enjoyment.

I hope that people are not fragile enough that my thoughts overwhelm like this.

The best part of this board is the give and take, which...synthesis..should leave us all better.

What irks me are the personal attacks.  Come at me as strong as you can with your arguments and analysis based on our beloved Bobcats.  But attack me personally in a public forum and I'm gonna defend.

I'm just commenting on what I've noticed. Obviously, you can't tell tone or tenor with written words.

I do find it irksome that anyone that mentions that this season wasn't a disappointment despite the perceived automatic increase in performance from last year is met with the remarks similar to yours from various posters.

I understand it wasn't personal, but we're all set in our opinions on the season and the last week has just been everyone going in circles because no one is budging from their opinion. You call their opinion rigid, and I call yours rigid.

Let me clarify a bit.  There are some posters who slam everything I post.  I could post that the sun rises in the east and they'd slam me.  Tired of it and it's not fair.

Also, those posters pretty much post via aliases.  I don't; I use my real name.  It's pretty cowardly to slam and not use a real name.

That's a fair complaint, and I agree with that last sentence. There's no doubting our passion for the Bobcats, but some people definitely take it way too far and sadly a lot of them seem rather new.

When I joined the board, a part of me felt that I had to "earn" my way into being respected by everyone else, and that's why I switched it over to my real name even though I had been reading for a long time and felt that I understood the dynamics of the personalities on here. I suppose not a lot of people think the same way I do.
