is about to hear those words. "fellas......you just lost your coach"

Runs a great system, thinks outside the box, scores early, attacks the basket, runs the slips. Win another and he is gone for sure.

Niece goes there - sent a text - not heard a response.  Such a fun time to be a student.

My sis lives there, they all were telling us to watch this team! We go to Red Sox spring training there.. And how many more times can JT3 choke like this in the NCAA... Really . And sadly, their coach may be a goner, we know the price of success . Go FGCU!!!

Loved hearing the shout out to #20 Chase Fieler on his huge slam dunk that is sure to be on every 2013 NCAA Tournament highlights.  From our very own Parkersburg, WV!!!

My guess is that if he ended up at FGCU, he may not even have received an offer from WVU, Marshall or OHIO--though I'm not sure.  Obviously he's been "coached up" and in the perfect system for him.

Loved how they took over after Georgetown tied it early in second half.

The Big Least (except for Louisville) just isn't feelin' that ole NCAA love again this year, with ND also losing big. (Sort of reminds me of their bowl game.) And Cincy too. Tell me again why that conference has always received so many at large bids? I hope that trend doesn't continue next year with the reconstituted conferences.

I'm 90 percent sure Andy Enfield sold his soul to the devil Robert Johnson-style. But instead of being a great guitarist, he asked to marry  a supermodel even while resembling Howdy Doody along with taking a school that didn't exist in 1996 past Georgetown in the NCAA tournament.

According to ESPN, he's a multi-millionaire many times over and has beautiful weather down in Florida. My guess is it would take a premier job to get him going away, not just money.

Sounds good to me ....he already has everything most of us dream about....we def need them to advance so we can have more crowd shots

Held back the pics .....this board may be a bit too staid.

Fieler is a junior so if we had offered him we would have missed out on one of the following- Kellogg, Hall, Johnson, Jacobs, Smith (transfer), Offutt (transfer).

Did they not seriously get a bunch of easy points in the paint.  I don't think they ran that high screen so many are in love with nowadays.

I grew up with Karl and his two sisters in Athens! They are all good people! It is nice to see that Chase is making the highlight reels, even though his team busted my bracket and Ohio somehow lost out on recruiting him.

Fieler is the 3rd or 4th Parkersburg South HS kid to go to FGCU. Back when I was the local TV sports talking head in PKB, they had a pretty good WV Class AAA team with two low D1 recruits at the guard slots. One ended up with Boone at EMU, the other played briefly for Sid Moncrief when he coached at UA-LR.

Both transferred out and ended up at FGCU when they were in some phase of D2 transformation middle of last decade.

While I don't believe we showed any interest, just the fact that PSHS has put 5-6 kids in low D1 in the last 20 years makes them one if the best programs in my state. Much better teaching/coaching going on there than most spots in WV.

The point guard Comer is the only guy I've seen this year with vision that rivals Cooper's. He's made some awesome passes.

They must have as many slams in three games as we had all year.  These guys know how to open up the lane and finish above the rim!  Helps to have a nice PG too!

FGCU is playing like every fan of a mid major dreams their team would play like in the Dance. Unbelievably fun to watch.
