My TV cuts off just a little at the bottom of the screen.  So, maybe it's my screen.  Did CBS's telecast for anyone else show the score and time remaining on an 'always there' basis last weekend and today (Saturday) for you all?

Maybe it was cut off on my screen?  Otherwise, welcome to the early 80's when the picture didn't show the score and clock on screen.  VERY annoying.

Maybe there are patent/IP issues here.  They could've at least shown pics of the scoreboard/clock consistently.

It's either your set or how your local station is transmitting its HD.  Our circa 1990 32" TV gets the stuff top and bottom but misses things on the sides.  It's better when it's slightly letterboxed, but that doesn't always happen.  I think stations are slowly moving away from accommodating our old TVs.

Yes, they always showed the score and time.  I guess it doesn't show up on black and white TVs.

I have TimeWarner.  The TV is a 53 incher that's about 6 years old.  These games on CBS were the only ones in years for which we couldn't see time and score at all times.

Thanks for the responses.

I would guess that someone hit a button on one of the remote controls to change the aspect ratio or picture size.

You are correct. (I love it when somebody makes fun of someone else's post, but then when somebody makes fun of their post they get their panties all in a bunch.)

I love it when two posters miss each others sarcasm.  I thought BW's mocking of Monroe was funny, and I thought that Monroe's reply was funny.  And, I thought it funny that BW missed the fact that Monroe was being sarcastic in this response.  I guess sarcasm is in the eye of the beholder.  Personally, I love it!
