Like him or hate him.  He's one of only 347 guys in the country doing what he is doing, making very solid coin, with an 8 year contract, and living where he wants to live.  Good for him. I hope we all have that good fortune.

Just means that the buyout in his contract got bigger.  Gotta give him credit for the turnaround in the program.  If next year's like this one, he's likely to be gone, though... especially if it's a large NE school.
