Well - no matter what ur "opinion" - pretty clear this was a bonehead decision by Ivo - resulting in the longest debate thread on here since JG left? Now the thread is "locked" - never seen that before..................

Agreed.  I stayed out of it for 4 pages, but as soon as I jump in it gets locked.  How disappointing.

Andrew, it's not you, it's me.  I think I have the Midas touch when it comes to locking threads.  I don't believe that I've ever started a thread that's been locked, but let me comment a few times on a controversial thread and it either goes to Siberia via the fast track or it gets locked.  I must admit when I said that my last post would be my very last post, I did not think it would be the very last post by anyone in the thread. I thought the discussion while heated was very civil with only a rare exception.  The last few posts, including mine, I thought were well within the bounds of civil discourse.  But, I'm not a moderator, so what do I know?

Upon further reflection, I think that I should thank the mods for giving me the "last word."  Something that never happens at home!

I didn't lock the thread because of any one particular person or post.  Just time to move on since this is an Ohio athletics forum.  I thought the thread was pretty decent discourse for the most part but it had run its course so time to lock it and move on.

We've explained time and time again why it's problematic to allow incendiary non-athletic discussions, especially those of a political nature, on this board.  We allowed this thread to go on longer than usual.
