Hired a crackerjack HC in Whitford ....now making fcilities upgrades to get competititve in recruiting. Upgrades across the board in minor and major sports. Looks like the West may be getting dominated .... A MAC school upgrading to compete.

Ball State holding invite-only press conference at 1 p.m. In Worthen Arena to unveil university's athletic facility upgrades.

Frank Hancock said Ball State should set its sights on being the Duke of the Midwest, excelling both in academics and athletics.

in his opinion the Ball State athletic facilities have been underfunded for 40 years. "Failure is not an option" in regards to the Cardinal Commitment Developing Champions campaign.The campaign goal for Ball State athletics is $20 million.

Ball State President Jo Ann Gora said they have already raises $12,893,000 of the targeted $20,000,000 for the Cardinal Commitment campaign.

This is great.  The MAC needs Ball State to be strong, especially in hoops.

YES!  BSU and Toledo being better in hoops would be a significant step forward.

I was next to Gee on an elevator once and he wore specially-made Block O dress pants. I was trying to figure out if those pants cost more or less than I make in a week.

That Ball State salary is a stunner actually. 

McDavis' salary is embarrassingly low.

Someone should write a letter to the Athens News with this information.  McDavis gets so much flack from the local press and faculty agitators about his salary increases that this would help put it in perspective.  It would be good if this letter came from some out-of-town alumnus or alumna who isn't seen as a known "friend of McDavis."

Can't disagree with some of it.  There sure are some head scratchers out there.  But, Vedder and his center continue to remind me of swiss cheese.
