Overall, I have a suspicion Boals is planning a 4 guard lineup to use for some games this year, but I could be completely wrong.
You have the numbers for the PowerBall?
My numbers are 25, 13, 29, 33, 64, 3.

But in all seriousness the fact we did not pursue a forward very much in the portal makes me think Boals either has immense confidence in GWiz / Clayton / Ezuma making big leaps this year (which is my main assumption) or he could not find anyone in lieu of bigger NIL offers.
It’s probably a combination. We know we tried for Foster, Brown, and the Grand Canyon big visited. I’m sure the preference was to add another to the mix, but the opportunity cost was too high.

All said, glad to read some tidbits on Clayton being in the paint more and Wiz showing improvement. Neither needs to be a scoring machine; just positive contributors.

+1. We just need a guy who can rebound and finish in the paint if needed. Very eager to see what the lineups are against Otterbein.

As another person said above, Ben Nicol (I think) made 0 FG's, but his free throw stroke was a thing of beauty. Unless I missed it, I didn't see any of his free throws touch anything but net.
Not expecting Nicol to do much if anything his freshman year, but he needs to contribute in coming years. We can't have him going down the AJ Gareri/Mason McMurray road. Same with Hadaway as well. These guys can't be swings and misses.

Exactly...a positive contributor.

When it comes to The Whiz....I don't care if he scores one point this season.
Catch the ball.
Rebound the ball.
Don't set a moving screen.
Contest shots.

Hey...if The Whiz fouls out every game so be it. I just need this guy to learn how to move and be fundamentally sound. It's not hard.

Hands up. All the time. Alter shots. Get rebounds.

Thank you for your 3rd Team All MAC Selection, Whiz.
