Wouldn’t be surprised to see Jason get some action tonight. Quite a few guys out for Clippers. On NBATV. Channel 325 in my case. Just started. Guess we’ll see.

Ontario Clippers on ESPNU at 7:30 today from Vegas. Not sure if Preston is with mother club right now or not. If not - he will be starting for Ontario.

He was with the team Friday and Saturday, but they don't play again until Wednesday in LA - so good chance they sent him down to get some time.


13 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds, 3 steals.

his game is uncommon in g league. most looking out for themselves. refreshing to watch. and stands out accordingly.

I watched the game and you are 100% correct... The number of open looks he passes by on is really astonishing. He would have 2x more assists if teammates knock down the shots he gets them.

He had a one handed jump snap cross court assist that the announcers said should be on Sportscenter. Jason is smart enough to know that is what the Clippers want to see out of him and why they were interested in him.

Clippers didn't show up tonight - at all - but JP played in the second half and Reggie Miller commented on Preston and another former Bobcat. Any guesses?

15 minutes, 6 points (2 for 2 from three), 4 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal, no turnovers. But the Clips were crushed from 1st quarter. Second best +/- on team at +4 in a 31 point loss.

Awesome. Best night of his young career by far. Will be hard to send him back to the G league with a few games like this.

Wall is out for at least a month. Clippers are not pleased with Jackson. Mann is now starting. Preston looks like he's staying with the team - though not getting much time. might increase a bit with Wall out.

Clippers are rumored to be unhappy with the production and play of Jackson and Wall and may be looking for a point guard help at the trade deadline. Would obviously impact Preston - potentially positively - he could also conceivably be part of a trade. One name in the rumor mill is Cory Joseph in Detroit - Preston grew a Piston fan and they showed interest when he came out. Another rumor is Toronto blowing their team up (including van fleet) - a Preston / Trent Jr. back court?

The kid is hard to keep track of. He's bouncing back and forth between LA and Ontario a lot. We had planned to tune into Ontario's game last Sunday because Jason played in their previous game, tuned in to not see him anywhere. A quick box score check showed he was with LA for the day.

Tonight he's back with Ontario playing in Austin while the Clippers are in San Antonio, it's interesting how they are getting him minutes. Wonder if he flew with the team from Salt Lake to San Antonio and then drove to Austin, it's about the same distance as Columbus-Athens.

It may have been garbage time, but still, those are really strong numbers for 6 minutes.

DNP last night in Atlanta.

LA in Cleveland tonight. SBH and I saw Portland and rookie Gary Trent play at Cleveland 20-plus years ago. Hoping JP sees quality PT tonight in the second game of back-to-back for the Clippers.

I hope for quality PT too but I really doubt he will get it against the Cavs, the Clips are playing much better as Leonard settles in and George back so I expect a competitive game and those games are not when we see JP get solid minutes. Lue has moved Mann to a starting PG/third SG role with Jackson coming off the bench as a PG, rotation is 8 maybe 9 guys and JP is in that group of 10 to 12. But, having said that, I think George is out tonight and Jackson is listed a day-to-day so maybe we see a bit more of JP? Although garbage time minutes are hard to evaluate, I think in 2023 Preston is looking more confident and bringing NBA level energy. He has looked like he belongs.
