Quite a few changes to replay and also a change for charge-block calls:
  • Officials can use replay to review for shot clock violations.
  • Officials can use replay to determine out-of-bounds with two or more players involved in the final two minutes.
  • 3-point shots can be checked by replay at media timeouts, except in the final four minutes when they can be checked immediately.
  • Officials can check replay to determine who committed a foul.
  • A block is to be called even if a defender is set if he steps into the path of an offensive player who has is in his upward motion with the ball.
  • If an elbow above the shoulder is deemed inadvertent, it does not have to be called a flagrant anymore.
  • The 10-second violation was added for women's basketball.

There's nothing bad about these rules unless they add even more tedium to the end of an exciting game.  It's going to be the tight ones where they'll want to go to the replay.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

Maybe a replay review should be considered a media TO, baby!
