Buy the book.  I'm gonna.  Turney--Hope you see this.  If you do, why don't you let people here know how they can get an autographed copy.  Thanks, Monroe

You can't google?  Turney wrote a book about his high-flying days on Wall Street and the come down thereafter.

C'mon now. Turney is a frequent poster here. You can agree or disagree with Monroe's "style"...but don't call Turney's work trash.

His name is actually Turney? I thought he was just in to March Madness and couldn't spell well. Looks like the opposite is actually true.

donuts, whocares--nice with the vitriol.  You got anything else?  For instance, ability to think or posts with actual content.

I'll try to post 100% literal versions of my posts for you two who evince such little erudition, so little ability to think beyond the obvious.

Really.  Turney, an OU guy, puts up some nice work and all some people can do is carp about irrelevant stuff.  Nice.

This thread is clearly in the wrong section, typing in all caps is childish, you rarely make sense on this site and I don't think you really want to hear what quite a few people think about OUr guy making headlines and creating a media storm with this book.

Also, practice what you preach about staying on topic.

You are pathetic.  And creepy.

If I didn't post here, would you have a life outside of your four walls.

Don't see any problem with Monroe's original post.  He gave enough info for any interested reader to pursue.  Why attack people when you don't have to?  I think it's best to just let it go if you aren't interested.

Thank you Monroe - I appreciate it... I just saw this...

Funny when I walked into the studio at NPR - they read the intro script to me and I heard ohio state university... I accidently shouted "NO." - they quickly changed it right before we went on the air. http://www.thetakeaway.org/2013/jun/05/buy-side-and-wall-streets-dark-side/

I love OHIO and I love this board... It's gotten me through many of sleepless nights. So I'm honored and grateful that Monroe took the time to post this. Thank you.

My publisher (random house) and agent have told me that sales are critical this weekend - we have a chance to get on the nyt bestseller list...

go OHIO...

what do you know, I found myself at a B&N tonight and it was on the new non-fiction display. I took a leap and picked up a copy. You're one sale closer to the list.

I received "The Buy Side" on Wednesday and finished it Thursday night.  Good call.

It's a quick, interesting read.  A story of rising up/conquering, falling down, and rising up again.  Turney is a fine writer, with a nice command of language.

This has movie script written all over it.  (The Blind Side--nice; The Buy Side--better.)

What's really cool is that Turney wa competing with Ivy League rich kid types but used his OHIO skils to win:  his ability with people, solid common sense and stylish flair.  And it's those same skills that allowed him to make it through the tough times back to the good times.

Get this book and read it now.

You might want to clarify this statement, lest it be taken in a way you did not intend.
