Maybe Borna could answer this better, but I feel like Ball State is a sleeping giant MAC wise in basketball. I know that they have a big arena and some pedigree, but how much local support do they get in Muncie? Is that a place that could be a better market fan attendance wise with some success?

A good Ball State is good for the MAC in basketball. I really feel that BSU should be the team to beat most years in west. I have been to some Ohio games in Muncie during the 90's and that place used to hop. Not to mention there was a time during their run in the 90's where they lead the MAC in attendance.

Even in their "down" years they are in the top few in the MAC in attendance.  I believe they were 3rd in attendance in 2012 behind just us and Toledo.

BSU will rebound - prolly pretty quick. They can easily be top 1 or 2 in the West year in/year out if they bring the right new coach in - and I think they will.

I've been waiting for Braun to return to the MAC. His EMU teams were as good as any MAC teams over the past 30 years with multiple NBA players. Would love to see this.

No way....there is a strong Anti Lick sentiment here for some reason.... a whole thread on the bsufans board a while back and lots of vitriol....not that AD's read message boards but they would be stupid not to in this case. . THey sure missed on Brownell a while back. It should be a good job for someone , we will see how smart the AD is. Lembo was a real surprise on the football side....

http://www.bsufans.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2371 Coach thread. AD says he will have a coach in place by Final Four.

Very interesting.

He was on the sidelines at the showcases and tourneys this month. Hire comes at the end of the month. Fun to watch the dance around the rules. Gives one more set of eyes out for the month of July.

I went to the Iowa/UVA  NIT game. Iowa has a tough road with a bit of talent coming back. Will be interesting to see how Accountant turned Coach Taylor moves up the coaching ladder. McCaffrrey is a smart dude. .
